VISUAL HEALTH BLOG #2
WEEK THREE
DAWSON JOSEPH
Overview
In my experience of using the Visual Health website, I found it to be an overall very positive, and charming experience. I believe that the site does a great job at all levels of showing people how to really get into charts and things like that. From the Use of the risk calculator and seeing how you could really manipulate the numbers in a manner as well as using the icon array generator to learn and play around with different visuals, as well as grasping just that much little more information about graphs and charts as well as becoming more comfortable interpreting different types of graphs.
RISK CALULATOR
I actually really enjoyed seeing the visual aspect of the graph as well as the overall aesthetic that it presents to the user. Graphs like this that are engaging, and for the most part easy to follow could appeal to an array of audiences
Below is the first graph that I ended up using with random numbers

For this example, I used players that play video games on their console vs their computers. I really like the way that the data is presented and when playing around with the numbers and such and seeing how I could personalize the icons, I really came to enjoy the Icon Array, equally as much I did the Risk calculator's simplicity

Dawson I completely agree with your opinion on the Visual Health website! I thought the website was simple to use and a great resource for beginners. I really like the risk calculator because we just have to enter our information in and let the website do its job. Do you think this is an accurate graph based on what we entered? This is not specific data from the table so I wonder how it is translated into this visualization. I like how you used the icon array to show console versus pc players. My only suggestion is that you add context to the array, such as a specific video game. For instance, for the video game FIFA there could be more console players, but a game like Fortnite could have more PC players. Overall, I really like your visualizations and your use of the website.
