My Experience with Visualizing Health

My Experience with the Visualizing Health Website

When it comes to exploring the Visualizing Health website. My overall experience was rather positive as it showed me the various types of approaches that can be used to display health information in meaningful ways. However, as great as the site is it also has its drawbacks.

While I do consider the website to be valuable, I don't think it is a complete necessity as many of the functions it provides can be replicated using other tools. However, I can see it as a good foundation for people who want to use it as some form of a template for their health visualization projects.

During my exploration, I created two visualizations that demonstrate the platform's capabilities. The first was the generated chart of showing cardiovascular disease risk factors (very happy to see I am on low scale), and the second I decided to display how 45 out of 100 men wear some form of prescription glasses. I chose red as the primary color for the glasses visualization because it's a color that tends to stand out and draws attention to the data.

Conclusion

Overall, the website serves as a solid educational resource for understanding different approaches to health data presentation. While it is not essential, it does provide a good starting point for anyone looking to create effective health-related visuals.
