Benchmark

This benchmark combo chart is displayed with the percentage of activation upward from the bar graph stating its data from day to aviation rate in percentage.
I choose this benchmark graph because it grasps a unique setting of rates as well as how it displays each day of the information that is being presented, to me it looks clean and identifies with a very organized graph. I am very fond of how clean it looks and very self explanatory on how it is being presented.

  1. I think that benchmarks have become some of my favorite types of graphs. Very simple and very easy to interpret and like the way you said, very clean and easy to organize. It gives viewers something to easily follow along with without the theatrics that most graphs have to give us.

  3. I like the topic that you chose and what the chart shows us, but there are some problems. First, despite the name of the website, none of the charts on the website display any form of benchmarks; the closest it comes is stating the average of a metric as text or as a column in a chart, which is not any of the ways the book showed us. The chart you show us is not actually a combo chart as none of the bars have their own benchmark line, so it is merely a column chart. Additionally, as the columns designate days, this chart could possibly work better as a line chart. I don't really have any suggestions because the website simply does not offer enough information to form a benchmark; the closest it comes is with the last chart that displays the average in-app response rate for all apps and the corresponding rate for video streaming apps. A benchmark line could be made with the average for all apps and then all we would have to do is add in the response rate for other types of apps and that would form a decent chart, although I find averages to be not too interesting as benchmarks.

  4. I like that you used the benchmark chart for this type of topic. Benchmark charts are a good option for measuring performance and evaluation like this topic of video streaming app activation rate. It helps us a viewers easily see and understand the data being presented. The only question I have is do the days on the x axis equal to each month of the year of 2024? Or is it a certain month from 2024 that we are looking at the activation rate? Otherwise, I think this bar chart is presented clearly and is easy to understand.
