Tools for Infographics!

Recommended Tools that Help Construct an Infographic!

Infographics allow us to consume data without feeling overwhelmed. Instead of reading long passages of text, infographics use visuals, charts, and concise sections of text to help us understand the main points of the content. Making it faster to consume and easier to remember.

Furthermore, here are some helpful tools that can help construct an infographic. Personally, I use Pinterest for the inspiration aspect. It has creative infographic examples, color palettes, and design ideas that help me plan and brainstorm for some sort of blueprint.  Another platform would be Canva, which is amazing for beginners, including free templates, icons, and drag/drop design.

I recommend the Adobe platforms as well. To get into Adobe, it's a bit difficult to fully understand the platform. I took a class that specifically used Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, which allowed me to understand the many aspects that contribute to posters,  ads, and anything informational. It gives more creative control for more professional designs. By using these platforms, I can focus more on the material I want to include rather than the visuals, format, and other elements. What's the point of the data if I can't format it correctly?

These platforms help me, and the visuals help me communicate ideas to people more effectively. Below, I show an example sourced from Pinterest, a very unique structure that can help a person design/construct their infographics.

I also wanted to share this article I stumbled upon. "Designing Infographics: Visual Representations for Enhancing Education, Communication, and Scientific Research", written by Lisa Traboco, Haridha Pandian, Elena Nikiphorou, and Latika Gupta. explaining how design is important because an infographic’s effectiveness relies on how clearly it communicates information. It has to capture the viewer’s attention while also guiding them through the material. Making sure the viewers understand the main point.
