When we scroll through social media, we are bombarded with information about everything and anything. In this way, data and information can be very intimidating. Whether it be what we are trying to make sense in our heads, or as simple as just plain comprehension. Infographics have been used across time to be an effective tool in getting information out fast and efficiently. Below is a link from the YouTube channel called “The Infographic Show”. Their mission is to inform people about various topics that people would want to know about. They do this in an interesting way through live infographics. They use a combination of audio, visual, and narration to create an experience that is easy for people to digest while also keeping learning fun. This is an example of a fantastic way in which infographics can be a really insightful way for people to learn. Another example of this is the infographic below. This infographic talks about the history of infographics in a clear and concise way that is visually appealing for anyone who might be looking at it. Even on social media or even wherever they find it, it should be easy to read and quick to gain the information quickly. The words explained in the "History of Infographics” infographic are a great example of how quickly the information gets retained. It might not even be enough information, but it does the job of informing. It piques the interest of the viewer in a way that they might do a deep dive into research to learn more about it.
