 Infographics in Social Work

Infographics are important for many things, but specifically important for social work. Social workers are responsible for advocating for their clients in many different aspects. We deal with social issues in research, poverty, child welfare, mental health, domestic violence, etc. Infographics can make something a bit more compelling to our clients. This could be anything including resources for clients or even bringing awareness to social justice issues.

This image shows a social worker and student in a school setting. This also explains some issues social workers help with. Child welfare social workers help with grief or loss, familial conflicts, learning disabilities, and more. Social workers are called to investigate these conflicts and what the next steps in the best interest of the client are. This may include follow up visits or meetings with that student to discuss those steps. This website explains more in depth of different types of social workers including: gerontologists, clinical, healthcare, and mental health specialists.

Locally, social workers work with their clients in need of any welfare or government assistance. This can include government programs like Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, TANF, and WIC. Families who may be struggling financially or just need help getting back and their feet can apply for these programs as long as they meet the criteria. Infographics are actually commonly used for these programs. Many people do not know that these government programs are readily available to them and what benefits they actually can provide them with.
